For the whole of Year 10, we will be doing a complete mock GCSE exam for your end of year assessment and achievement grades. As you know, the exam is in 4 parts – writing, reading, listening and speaking. Your writing grade will be based on the two pieces of coursework you have done this year, so don’t worry, there won’t be a writing exam.

As for the rest, your reading test will be in your normal lesson on Wednesday 25th and your listening test will be in lesson time on Tuesday 1st July. The speaking exams are done slightly differently, and will be carried out on Thursday 3rd July, between periods 1 and 3.

Speaking Exam

Your speaking exam on Thursday 3rd July (during periods 1-3 and you will be given your time later)will be in two parts – 2 role plays followed by your conversation questions that we have done in class, that you were given to take home and learn last week. Below are a few things for you to look at and revise from, should you get stuck…. Bonne Chance!!
