Year 9
This year we are again following the scheme of work in the Metro 3 ‘Rouge’ and ‘Vert’ books. However, following on from many of the students completing their SATs, there is going to be a slight difference in our language learning after half term.
Mrs. Harrison’s group will continue with their European Language and Culture Awareness project, and Mr. Hill’s and Mrs. Barnes’ groups will continue to work and follow the above schemes of work.
Mr. Hill’s top set, however, will begin their GCSE course, following the Expo 4 for Edexcel book, after their end of Module 5 speaking assessment. All the things you will need however, for whichever group you are in, will always appear here!

sir how do i get on that webpage so we can finish of that worksheet for test?
and how do i see where you have wrote back?
Hi James,
Right, on the right hand side of this page, there is a heading named ‘categories’. Across there, click on the ‘Year 9′ section. In there you will find a post called ‘Year 9 – Clothes, Pocket Money and Jobs’.
Within that post are 4 resources that will help you finish off the last two questions for your test…. ESPECIALLY the first resource – which is called something like ‘Module 5 Revision’. It has what you can write for the two remaining questions…
Problem is, is that it is quite a big file, so it may take a little while to open… just be patient and it will work, and you’re away!
cheers sir
sir what does ” je crois que and parce que ” mean? i do know i just forgot.
Je crois que – Means ‘I think that’…
That’s the way of getting you’re opinion in… For example, when talking about clothes, you could say ‘Je crois que c’est confortable’ – which means ‘I think its comfortable’ or ‘Je crois que c’est ennuyeux’ which means ‘I think it’s boring’ which you could use when talking about household chores.
‘Parce que’ – just means ‘because’…
Good luck!!!
nothing to do with french but are you watching the games tonight? portugal v turkey and switzerland v cech republic. just wanted to tell you if you did not know.
Ha Ha! Yes I will be… and just to let you and anyone else know, there is still time to enter the school Euro 2008 Fantasy Football Manager game…
All you have to do, is go to
http://en.euro2008.uefa.com/fanzone/index.html
and register. An e-mail will be sent to you, and you can then click on the ‘fantasy football’ section to pick your team…
Join the Wakefield City High League by clicking on the ‘Leagues’ section, once you have picked your team and type in the following code….
Whoops…haven’t actually got the code, but I can get it for you on Monday… Important thing is to get your team sorted before 5 o’ clock this afternoon so that you can score maximum points!!

Good work!!
i wrote the details on a peice of paper but i never got round to go on it.

Yep! That’s the one…
Select your team from the ‘Fantasy Football’ section at the top of the screen…then save it, then add in the League code… in the ‘League section’…
